SKILL LEVEL:
Intermediate

MATERIALS:
– 3mm Crochet Hook
– 6mm Safety Eyes
– Ricorumi DK (see my colour suggestions below which are as per pic on page 1)
– Polyfil Stuffing
– Tapestry Needle
– Scissors
– Stitch Marker (Optional)
– Small Amount of White Felt (Optional)
– Bell (Optional)

Colour A = Ricorumi DK Cream 25g (002)
Colour B = Ricorumi DK Green 25g (049)
Colour C = Ricorumi DK White 25g (001)
Colour D = Ricorumi DK Black 25g (060)
Colour E = Ricorumi Creative Lamé Gold 25g (002)

ABBREVIATIONS:
THIS PATTERN IS WRITTEN IN US CROCHET TERMS

CH = chain
DC = double crochet
DEC = decrease
F/O = fasten off
HDC = half double crochet
INC = increase
MC = magic circle
SC = single crochet
SL ST = slip stitch
ST = stitch

HEAD
(note: working in the round)
USING COLOUR A

1- work 5 sc into MC = 5
2- inc in each st around = 10
3- (1 sc, inc) x 5 = 15
4- (2 sc, inc) x 5 = 20
5- (4 sc, inc) x 4 = 24
6- sc in each st around = 24
CHANGE TO COLOUR B
7-9. sc in each st around = 24
CHANGE TO COLOUR A
10-11. sc in each st around = 24
attach safety eyes between rows 8 and 9 with a space of 3 sts start stuffing the head and continue stuffing as you go

12- (4 sc, dec) x 4 = 20
13- (2 sc, dec) x 5 = 15
14- (1 sc, dec) x 5 = 10
f/o and weave in yarn

EARS (MAKE 2)
USING COLOUR A
ch 5, sl st in second ch from the hook, sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next st f/o leaving a long tail for sewing, sew
ears to head and, using a length of COLOUR A, embroider a nose

start stuffing the legs and continue stuffing the body as you go

stuff each arm to this point only
CHANGE TO COLOUR B
6-14. sc in each st around = 8
sc across the top then f/o leaving a long tail for sewing, sew the arms to the body

FINISHING TOUCHES
USING COLOUR D
Embroider Super Elf’s mouth.
USING COLOUR E
Embroider a buckle on the belt.
OPTIONAL: using a small amount of white felt, cut a letter “S”, then hot glue or sew it to the front of the body.
OPTIONAL: attach a bell to Super Elf’s hat to make him jingle!
