I want to give you some informations about this pattern ;

Materials:
– 3.5mm and 4.0mm hook, Yarn needle, Stitch marker
– Worsted / 4 weight yarn, Fiberfill stuffing
– 3/16 inch diameter wood dowwel, Hot glue gun
– Terra Cotta pot: 2 inches wide by 2 inches tall

Abbreviations:
– BLO: back loops only
– ch: chain
– dc: double crochet
– hdc: half double crochet
– rnd: round
– rpt: repeat
– sc: single crochet
– sc2tog: single crochet 2 stitches together (decrease)
– st(s): stitch (es)

Gauge: with 4.0 mm hook, 4.5 sc sts = 1 inch

Dirt

Rnd 1: with 3.5 mm hook, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around
Rnd 3: *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, rpt from * until end of rnd (18 total sts)
Rnd 4: working in Blo, sc in each st around (18 total sts)
Rnd 5-6: sc in each st around (18 total sts)
Rnd 7: *sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, rpt from * until end of rnd (24 total sts)
Rnd 8-9: sc in each st around (24 total sts)
Rnd 10: *sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, rpt from * until end of rnd (30 total sts)
Rnd 11: sc in each st around, finish off and weave in ends, fill with fiber fill stuffing

Rnd 1: with 3.5mm hook, sc 4, sl st in first st to form a circle, 6 sc in circle
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around (12 total sts)
Rnd 3: *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, rpt from * until end of rnd (18 total sts)
Rnd 4: *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, rpt from * until end of rnd (24 total sts)
Rnd 5: *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, rpt from * until end of rnd (30 total sts)
Cut a 9 inch yarn tail and pull yarn throuh, using yarn needle and yarn tail, whip stitch second dirt piece to the top of the first dirt piece, adding more fiber fill if needed. Place dirt into pot.

Stem
Cut the wood dowel so that it is 4 inches long, wrap green yarn around entire dowel using hot glue to attach yarn to dowel. Stick dowel into hole at the top of the dirt.

Rnd 1: with 4.0 mm hook, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around (12 total sts)
Rnd 3: sc in each st around (12 total sts)
Cut yarn leaving a 6 inch yarn tail, and repeat rnd 1-3, do not cut the yarn of the second half-sphere and do not remove your hook.
Rnd 4: sc into the first half-sphere to join the two half-spheres together, sc around both half-spheres (24 total sts)
Using a yarn needle and yarn tail from first half-sphere, close the remaining gap between the two half-spheres

Rnd 11: *sc in next st, sc2tog, rpt from * until end of rnd (6 total sts)
Cut yarn and pull yarn through stitch, place heart onto stem, using a yarn needle and yarn tail, whip stitch in the loops from rnd 11 to close the opening around the stem.

Leaf (make 2)
Rnd 1: with 3.5mm hook, ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in nxt ch, dc in next 6, hdc in next ch, 3 sc in last ch, working on the opposite side, hdc in next st, dc in next 6 sts, hdc in next st, sc in last st, sl st in the very first skipped chain stitch.
Cut a 6 inch yarn tail and pull through last stitch, using, yarn needle and yarn tail sewonto the dirt next to the stem.

Finished plant is aprox, 6 1/2 inches tall.
