Yarn & Hooks Needed
DK weight (3) yarn & 2.75mm hook
I use Paintbox Yarn Cotton DK which is a DK weight
3 yarn in the following colorways for the pig. The
Heart is made with Paintbox Yarn Cotton Aran:
• (DK) Main color: 135 yards depending on tension you may want a second ball as this will use
all of the first with little to none left over
• (DK) Accent Color: 30 yards
• (WW) Heart Color: yardage varies depending on heart style
Cheeks: Use a small amount of a different pink yarn, blush, paint, or by needlefelting on.
If not using Safety eyes, you will need a small amount of black and white yarn.
OTHER MATERIALS
• Crochet Hook Used: 2.75mm (C) & 4mm (G) Clover Amour
• Fiberfill (stuffing material)
• Cardboard or other thick material for wrapped yarn heart center.
• Pins, stitch marker, scissors & a yarn needle.
Optional 14mm safety eyes. I get mine from glasseyesonline
Optional If you wish to needlefelt the eye accents and cheeks on you will need a needlefelting needle.

• Sew snout lengthwise to center of the face between rounds 15 & 21. (figure 4)
• Using black yarn, add 2 nostrils (or needlefelt them on).
• Add cheeks by making 2 Sts on each side of the snout over rounds 18 & 19.

• Using your yarn needle, thread the tail of the accent color yarn, and insert at the top of the foot between rounds 6&7, and pull back out the center MR. (figures 9 & 10). Repeat 2 more times and pull tight. Weave in end.
• Pinch the open end together even with center of the indent and seam closed.
• Sew legs to each side of the body between rounds 9 & 17.
• Weave in any ends.

Wrapped Heart
• Cut a heart out of cardboard approx the width of your pig’s body. (figure 13)
• Wrap the cardboard heart with your heart colored yarn. (figure 14)
• When cardboard is covered, cut yarn, leaving a long enough tail to weave in.
• Using your yarn needle, secure loose end.(figure 15)
• Place heart in arms.
